What IS Canine and Abled??
Canine and Abled, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting awareness and acceptance of service dog teams through education and inspiration.
In addition to our award-winning educational program, we provide consulting and training services for service dog acquisition, and provide advocacy for service dog handlers who may have had their civil rights violated due to access denial.
For those groups seeking a Christian philosophy-based presentation, founder, Kimberly Carnevale shares unique insights provided from observations of her dogs that she made during her tumultuous journey.
Kiimberly's speech, "Tips For Successful Living I've Learned From My Dogs" is highly thought-provoking and inspiring. These insights reaffirm good Christian character traits such as loyalty, faith, trust, obedience, kindness and more.
Kimberly feels very strongly that God gave her the tools to turn her tragedy into triumph and the need to share her story with others to spread the good news of His love, and to maintain our faith throughout the storms of life.
Her incredible story provides a backdrop for inspiration; clearly demonstrating how faith can get us through even the harshest of life's storms...to hear her tell it is magical. For more information about the Canine and Abled, Inc. ministries, click here: (C&A Ministries)
Whether you are looking for a business presentation, school assembly, civic organization speaker, Christian speaker for church services or special events; or a corporate key note presenter; Canine and Abled can customize a program to fit your individual needs.
Our commitment stems from a need to end illegal access denial and rude behavior that many teams face on a daily basis... we pledge to continue to help open doors to free and unobstructed use of service dogs one door at a time...
For centuries, man has welcomed the dog into his life. In ancient times, man would allow the dog to share his fire for warmth and share scraps of food; in return, the dogs would provide protection and assistance in hunting.
Today, we still share our homes with dogs; and them as full-fledged family members. They live in our homes, sleep in our beds, or those specially made for that special canine in our lives. Some sport fashion accessories and wardrobes fit for a king or queen. Still others are toted around in bags that are extravagant in style and price tags. But for those of us who own and love dogs, price is no object for doting on our beloved canine friend; for the reward for sharing our lives is unconditional love, patient understanding; and a friend who is there no matter what.
For persons with disabilities who rely upon the assistance of specially trained dogs (called service, or assistance dogs), the rewards are even more significant. The unending support, love, and dedication that these amazing canines provide for their partners with disabilities is indescribable.
Partnered patients experience an increase in self-esteem and self-confidence; which in turn gives them the courage needed to fight pain and illness. Their lives are made more secure knowing that their faithful friend is always on guard to protect, comfort and provide often life-saving assistance at a moment's notice.
For these partnered teams, Canine and Abled pledges to promote the wonderful benefits that service dogs provide as a means to protect the free and lawful use of these incredible canines; free from harassment, misunderstandings, and illegal access denial. We are committed to opening doors to unobstructed access; one door at a time...
To the public and our youth; we pledge to share information, provide education about service dogs and disabilities, and inspire as a means to help others believe in the beauty of their dreams...
