The Champion Ability Horsemanship Program is the nation's only horsemanship program which combines horseback riding lessons with award-winning, motivational, life-coaching!

Our instructor is a former USET hopeful and award-winning life-coach/author/motivational speaker.

Our trademarked equestrian education program offers not only FUN, (English/Western) affordable (same cost as traditional lessons), high caliber horsemanship/riding courses, but intertwines the award-winning life-coaching skills to enhance a rider's performance in the riding arena, and in the arena of life! Canine and Abled's sister program, Canine Ability, Ltd. (Living The Dream) shares the award-winning motivational messages of all C&A programs, and teaches effective dog bite prevention through dramatic portrayals with the Canine and Abled dogs. Audiences learn that they are always giving off signals to dogs; and learn to project the right ones in order to prevent an attack.

Animals can be such wonderful teachers of responsibility and character for children! We believe that even the smallest of children should have mastery over even the largest of canine family members in order to enhance respect for others, responsibility, and the building of self-confidence.

Through our innovative program and antics of our amazing canine performers, we perceptively demonstrate how even the smallest of children can be taught to control and modify the behavior of the largest of dogs. We show kids how to teach simple tricks/behaviors at home with their own dogs using postive methods. Learning that postive behavior creates positive results becomes a main focal point for the character building portion of our program, and these principals repeat throughout the entirerty of the presentation; driving home practical applications for these tools in everyday life.

The program covers simple and fun responsible dog ownership tips through trick and agility demonstrations. Canine Ability, Ltd. shares the same character-building principals as C&A, demonstrated with a special canine entertainment twist.

Also available is in-home behavior modification (for middle TN and parts of surrounding areas) and in-depth behavior seminars (seminars and education programs available Nationwide).

Dogs communciate through a wordless, yet highly audible communication system that utilizes minute body language and posturing. When we live with dogs, we bring them into our world--the least we can do is learn their language in order to effectively communicate with them.

Kimberly and the Canine and Abled dogs perceptively demonstrate how the slightest shift in body language instantly changes a dog's behavior. Countless schools, after school programs and other youth organizations have benefited from service dog education through the Canine and Abled, Inc. program.

Today's children are tomorrow's leaders, teachers, business owners and parents. Making a lasting impression on them now with regard to service dogs, will hold open doors in the future. Canine and Abled also imparts tolerance of those who are "different", by learning that we're all indeed very much the same.

This program was started as a means to end access denial. What has been discovered is that it also provides an open forum to answer the many questions people may have regarding the use of service dogs.

Unfortunately when service dog teams are in public going about their daily lives, they often don't have time for all the questions. This is one way of trying to get to everyone!

Answering questions means the possibility of yet one more open door. For audience members; meeting a service dog team "up close and personal," and seeing all the amazing tasks that they've been trained to do, will provide an experience that won't soon be forgotten! Canine and Abled, Inc. provides disability sensitivity training including explanations of laws pertaining to service dog teams, etiquette, business rights and responsibilities. This information is invaluable to businesses as a tool to prevent senseless civil law suits, Federal investigation, reduce liability, and maintain a good customer relations with customers with disabilities.

There has been a recent explosion of cases where people illegally pass off their pet dogs as service dogs. These dogs have not received the proper training as required by federal law in order to legally elevate their status from pet to service animal. Business owners have reported broken/destroyed merchandise, dogs urinating/defecating in their place of business, and have had several dog bites on record.

Canine and Abled, Inc. teaches businesses how to identify "impostor/fake" service dogs and can also assist in bringing such offenders to justice through our access consulting services for businesses.

Canine Educational Programs

When choosing the proper program for your group, keep in mind that while each program has a different educational base, content can be mixed to your specifications. Each program is centered around a core message of overcoming adversity, embracing change, and believing in the beauty dreams to become a champion in life. Each program is customized to fit the needs of each client. Educational content can be combined, extended or shortened to fit into any time/subject frame.

Canine and Abled's Gracie and Canine and Abled's Dawson are certified therapy dogs. They love to visit people and are GREAT in lifting spirits and motivating patients in nursing homes, hospitals, and therapy/rehab centers.

They are also literature-loving reading helpers and love to have children read to them in libraries, schools, and camps!

The Equine Ability Program utilizes hippotherapy and Scripture as a means to offer hope, health, and healing for those suffering from brain injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, cognitive dysfunction and other similar issues in the middle Tennessee area.
